My Opinion: Some Questions About CJP's June 6 Protest

The CJP protest held on June 6 became a major topic of discussion on social media. The most viral videos were reportedly those showing Abhijeet Dipke at the airport. It was said that after returning from the United States, he went directly to Jantar Mantar to participate in the protest.

However, one thing caught my attention during this entire event. While there appeared to be significant camera coverage and attention at the airport, many of the videos circulating from Jantar Mantar seemed to have been recorded by ordinary people using their mobile phones. This led me to wonder why media presence appeared less visible at the protest itself despite the large amount of online discussion surrounding it.

During the protest, Abhijeet Dipke stated that posts and reels can be removed, but voices cannot be silenced. At the same time, some people believe that the true strength of any movement is not measured by social media trends but by the level of support it receives on the ground.

Another question that comes to my mind is this: if a large number of people were interested in seeing him at the airport, did the same level of enthusiasm and participation appear at the protest site? Different people may have different opinions on this matter.

In the end, any movement is judged by its results. If the issues being raised lead to meaningful changes and action, support for the movement may grow. If not, some people may view it as primarily a social media phenomenon.
